Documentary Portrait

As you've likely noticed, much of my work follows a documentary style. This approach allows me to capture the true essence of each person I photograph. I believe the most authentic moments arise when people are allowed to be themselves, and when the scene unfolds naturally, without too much interference.

The way this works is by focusing on real, unposed moments, capturing people as they are in their natural environment or while doing something they enjoy. The objective is to tell a story through the photograph, showcasing the person’s true character and emotions.

Nomi

Living above the artic circle means the sun will go missing for a certain period of time during the winter so when it finally rises above the horizon again it is a moment of celebration. Me and Nomi went on a summit hike to see it.

Simon

When people think of the North they think of cold and darkness and although that is the case in the winter, the summer couldn’t be more different. In the summer the sun doesn’t go below the horizon, so it is always bright even at midnight, it is a special thing to witness, it is truly magical.
