Hi, I’m Rafaela Fernandes

 

A photographer and storyteller with a passion for documenting both nature and people.

My passion for photography began while volunteering as a veterinary nurse at a wildlife center in Portugal. Being around wild animals daily inspired me to pick up my first camera, and then I started photographing as much wildlife as I could. Observing these incredible creatures through my lens made me feel deeply connected to them, and the more connected I felt, the better I understood them.

​

After a while of doing nature photography I started photographing people as well and my interest for both just kept growing.

 

My main goal with the work that I do is to be able to capture moments that are real and portray the subjects I photograph truthfully.
